Making a Decision

Be thinking of Stan and I particularly having to do with our school. We have been tossing around the idea of staying at our school another year. We would come home for the summer, and then head back for another year of being people who show Him to others. We have also been talking with others here in HangZhou about staying 1 more year. Although we will miss home greatly, there are things to be done here. We are torn with the idea and need your thoughts to Him about this. The struggle is determining if our decision is selfish or not.

We are diligently thinking about this and ask you to as well. There are a lot of decisions to be made in the next few weeks/months, and we need to have the wisdom to make those decisions in His best interest and what he wants. Thank you all for your support, I love you all!

Starting Classes!

I have just finished preparing my lesson plan for my first class of this semester, which is tomorrow. My parents, both sides have asked if we know our schedules. Well, now we do, so I will let you know what it is! All the classes are designed to have ten minute breaks every 40 minutes.

Tuesday:
1:30-3:50
Dinner Break!
6:10-8:30


Thursday:
8:10-12:15
Lunch Break!
1:30-3:00
Dinner Break!
6:10-8:30

So that's it! Only two days out of the week, but they are full days! We are looking forward to a new semester and all it will bring. We hope to stay involved with our students we were meeting with weekly. They seemed like they wanted to keep meeting, so we are excited about that! Last semester I was giving a summary of the week's events in class. I am excited to start that up again, because it gives me a chance to report back to you the wonderful things said in class. It also gives me a chance to reflect back on what was said. Thank you for reading and don't forget to think about me in China! We have gotten encouraging notes, calls and we really appreciate them! Well, we are back in Hangzhou. I plan on blogging about our trip because we have done SO MUCH!! We have been gone for a month and a half. I've never been gone from anything that long. Well, except for being in China and all. :) Ok, I can say this...I've never lived out of a backpack that long! So, as a result, I have never felt so happy to come back home. I have had a couple of different places to call home, however monetary they are...so people in America, try not to take it personally when I refer to Hangzhou as home. :) It was nice to come back to familiar Hangzhou, where I know what I am doing, and I know more people than the people I am traveling with.

During our travels, we were at a conference which guided our thoughts to Kingdom work. Coming home to Hangzhou helped me draw a parallel to the Kingdom. It helps me to be away from my family in America when I think about going Home and what really matters in this life. Our Father told us to live a sacrificial life. No if's and's or but's. Do it. Yes, easier said than done, but what other reason are we on this earth than to do what He tells us to do. I wish I could articulate exactly what I want to say, but I just can't. Let me encourage all of you to live a life of purpose. I don't want to ramble, so I will just leave it at that! Thanks for reading, don't forget to think of me in China and I love you all!

So Sorry!

Hello all! I have not blogged in like a month! And I hate that, because we have done so many things since we have been gone. I don't have much time to blog, but this is just a quick run-down of the cities we have been! Hanoi, Viet Nam, Hoian, VN, NhaTrang, VN, Muine, VN (where the beach is!!) We are in Cambodia now and the first city we went to was PhnamPenh, and I am writing to you from SienReap. I think I got the spelling right on all those. We have seen many thins and one blog will not suffice, so it will have to wait until later my friends! While in PhnamPen we got to meet up with some family there and it was so rewarding! They took us into their home like family should. It was great to get to know them! Anyway, we are leaving early in the morning for Thailand. We should be there for 6 days, and then we leave on the 11th for Beijing! Hopefully I will get to see The Wall on my birthday! We'll see how it goes. I don't know when I will be able to have enough time to blog next, so this is it for now my friends! Thanks for reading. Don't forget to think about me and I love you all!

Hello all! Just a quick post to update. I have been a little under the weather, but I am quickly recovering because you can get antibiotics OTC here! But the thing is, they are not as strong as the ones in America, so it recommends you take a double dose "if it is really serious." So I am taking a double dose. Things are looking good. It looks like we are going to be leaving for Vietnam on Thursday. It is going to take a couple of days to actually get there because of visa delays. But we are all really excited!! After that, we are going to travel around South East Asia. I know we'll have many more pictures to show and experiences to share. Hopefully we will be able to update you all along the way. We will be gone for 6 weeks and then we will be going to Beijing to enjoy some time with "Family". We are all finishing up our grades for the semester! After that, we are headed out!! Not much of an exciting blog, but I just wanted to give a little update. :) I love you all, and thanks for reading! Don't forget to think about me in China!

Chinglish at It's Best...

This blog is made especially for Lee, my brother-in-law. When I first got to China, I was amazed with all the horribly spelled words and the way sentences are worded. For the first couple of weeks, I took pictures of them, but after being here for a while, you kinda get used to seeing them and stop taking pictures. Lee told me he wanted to see more of them, so I thought I would devote an entire blog to them. I have started taking pictures again, just because Lee wants to see them! So It's fun to take pictures again of all the Chinglish! There will most likely be more blogs like this in the future. You will have to read some of them carefully...Please Anjoy! ;)
